The hammerdrill is just what I've used probably the most and, as predicted, it's quite potent and occurs loaded using functions, including a control collar that selects among three modes such as: hammerdrilling, screwdriving, and drilling. Needless to say, the common torque adjustment collar is right next for the control collar. Additionally, you will find the standard three speed settings too as a helpful worklight and an attachable side handle. I use a power drill for home repair projects and this drill is unquestionably the most strong I've ever buy, perhaps a little too impressive in the casual user. It's also a bit heavier than I'm accustomed to, coming in at about five pounds (together with battery attached) when my 12v Ryobi was a smaller amount than 3lbs. Of course, this DeWalt much more than makes up for that slight weight difference as it's a veritable powerhouse. I'll never get the Ryobi again!

As in the impact driver, there aren't any variable functions, but there's a fantastic worklight included, with the brightness emanating from three various points on the front on the driver. The involved manual indicates how the impact driver chuck only accepts 1/4" (6.35 mm) hex accessories and 1" (25.4 mm) bit tips. Though the belt hook happens pre-attached to the impact driver, it could be very easily removed or alternately attached towards the hammerdrill. The storage & carrying bag fits the entire set at ease this includes drills, charger, batteries and all - with place to spare for any few more tools. About the outside of the bag are 2 4-inch pockets, one on either side. I've had the drills for practically a week now and only at that point I do not use a single complaint. Necessities such as first DeWalt tools I've buy, but taking into consideration the sturdy craftsmanship and overall great efficiency of the drills, I can undoubtedly say these won't be the final.
